Instruments supplied with intrinsically safe sensors are generally preferred over explosion proof equipment because there is not enough power present to create an ignition source.  Illinois Instruments offers moisture analyzers with intrinsically safe sensors that are remote-mounted in hazardous areas.  The Series 400 Moisture Analyzers offer the option of using a remote intrinsically safe sensors while the electronic components are mounted in safe areas.

The Series 400 Moisture Analyzers with remote intrinsically safe sensors have a measuring range of -90oC to +20oC in most industrial gases.  Cabling can be provided for the intrinsically safe sensors in lengths up to 200 meters.

This series was designed to be customized to your application while providing a simple, yet affordable analyzer.  The Series 400 Intrinsically Safe Sensors incorporate our high quality aluminum oxide moisture sensors. These sensors provide accurate, dependable results over a wide range from –110°C to +20°C. The aluminum oxide sensors are maintenance-free and are a popular choice for the most demanding applications.

All models feature microprocessor control for stable and repeatable operation. A bright, autoranging LED display provides direct measurement output. User-adjustable alarms, scaleable analog output signals, RS232 interfacing, and process sample bypass flow systems are all optionally available.

Three different configurations add to the base Model 410 to offer the choices needed to satisfy virtually all industrial environment and operational constraints.
 

Model 410 can be used on the bench or Panel Mounted.	Model 420 is NEMA 4X / IP66 rated for weatherproof and waterproof locations.	Model 430 houses one or two analyzers in its 4U (19 inch) rack mount cabinet.
